Workshop for high-frequency and optical precision mechanics
The workshop for high-frequency and optical precision mechanics is integrated into the workshop section of the University and supports the scientists of the
Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry. Assignments for other institutes or units of the University are processed according to prior agreements,
if the normal workshop operation is not affected.
The duties and responsibilities cover a wide range of tasks: from consulting, conceptual design and development, to the construction of novel equipment in close
collaboration with the customers and the fabrication of complex components, equipment and gadgets for research and teaching.
To accomplish this, a modern machinery as well as several CAD/CAM workstations are available. In combination with CNC machines, this allows the fabrication of complex components,
up to a 5-axis simultaneous handling.
