By public transport / from Frankfurt international airport:
At the "Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof" take any S8 and S9 (direction: Hanau), transfer at
"Hauptwache" upstairs to the U8 (direction: Frankfurt (Main) Riedberg) and get
off at the stop "Uni Campus Riedberg". From there on you can follow either direction
"Towards the entrance Max-von-Laue-Str. 7 (Chemistry)" or "Towards the
entrance Max-von-Laue-Str. 9 (Biozentrum)" mentioned below.
By public transport / from Frankfurt main station:
Take the U-Bahn (see
http://www.traffiq.de) line
U4
or U5 in direction Enkheim/Seckbacher Landstrasse or Preungesheim,
to go to "Willy-Brandt Platz" (just one stop). From there, take
line
U8 to go directly to "Uni-Campus Riedberg" (15
stops). From the U-Bahn stop, follow either of the following
routes:
Towards the entrance Max-von-Laue-Str. 7 (Chemistry): If you
get off at the front of the U-Bahn train, continue straight on and
then turn right into Alfred-Wegener-Strasse. Walk down
Alfred-Wegener-Strasse, cross Max-von-Laue-Strasse, continue down to
the parking lot, and then turn right. You will find the entrance of
the Chemistry building (Max-von-Laue-Str. 7). You are entering
building N140, to the right at the groudfloor (behind the automatic door)
you find the Prisner and Corzilius group as well as the PC Praktikum rooms
behind the folowing two automatic doors. The other groups are located in
N120 above the PC Praktikum rooms. Just follow the forth automatic door and
go up the stairs, one floor (Heilemann, Morgner and Schäfer group) or two floors
(Wachtveitl and Burghardt group).
Towards the entrance Max-von-Laue-Str. 9 (Biozentrum): If you
get off at the rear of the U-Bahn train, you will see a pedestrian
path that goes parallel to the long side of the Otto-Stern Zentrum (or
Infrastrukturzentrum, see building 11 on map), a new yellow-colored
building. Continue along this path and cross the street that you
encounter, i.e., Max-Laue-Strasse. Continue straight on, passing the
Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysics on your left, to get to the
entrance of the "Biozentrum" (Max-von-Laue-Str. 9). In the building (N
100), you first continue straight on, then turn left trough the door.
In front of you is Heilemann, Morgner and Schäfer group, one floor up Wachtveitl and Burghardt
group and one floor down trough tree automatic doors into building N140 is the
Prisner and Corzilius group located.
By car / from the North:
Follow the highway A5 to the
junction "Bad Homburger Kreuz". Change to the A 661 in direction
Frankfurt/Offenbach and leave the highway at the exit "F-Heddernheim,
Nordweststadt, Riedberg, Mertonviertel", follow the directions
"Riedberg" and then "Universität, Max-Planck-Institut, FIZ"
uphill, and then take the left-turn to "Konrad-Zuse-Strasse." Cross
"Altenhöfer Allee" to Max-von-Laue-Str. and turn left at
"Alfred-Wegener-Str." You will find the Chemistry/Biochemistry
department in front of you.
By car / from the South or West:
Follow the highway A5
and change at the junction "Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt" to the A66 in
direction Frankfurt "Miquelallee". At the end of the highway, follow
the signs to "Nordweststadt" and Bad Homburg
(Rosa-Luxemburg-Str.). Do
not take the exit "University"
(University Campus Down-town), but follow Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse for
approximately 4 km. Take the exit "Mertonviertel", "Universität"
(Marie-Curie-Strasse) turn left at the first road to get uphill. You
will find the Chemistry/Biochemistry department in front of you.
